Edexcel DiDA enables learners to make the leap from passive consumers to active producers of quality digital content. It develops their ability to organise themselves and their work and encourages them to reflect critically on their own and others’ use of ICT.
There are four qualifications in the current Edexcel DiDA suite:
- Edexcel AiDA - Award in Digital Applications (Unit 1 only)
- Edexcel CiDA - Certificate in Digital Applications (Unit 1 plus any other unit)
- Edexcel CiDA+ - Extended Certificate in Digital Applications (Unit 1 plus any other two units)
- Edexcel DiDA - Diploma in Digital Applications (Unit 1 plus any other three units)
The current Edexcel DiDA qualifications are available at two levels, providing full A* - G equivalence. Learners can combine different units and levels.
Teaching Edexcel DiDA from September 2012
You can continue to offer Edexcel AiDA, Edexcel CiDA, Edexcel CiDA+ and Edexcel DiDA from September 2012. The last certification of these qualifications will be June 2014 – we will allow you to register and enter your learners for each exam series, with June 2014 being the final certification opportunity for units and awards. No new learners should commence the existing Edexcel DiDA qualifications with an certification date after June 2014.
