Apprenticeships (NQF) | Security
Security     The Providing Security Services Apprenticeship is targeted at those employed in static and patrol security guarding and uniformed retail security guarding roles. The current component qualifications are listed below. The Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services has recently been extended till 31st March 2011 at the behest of the Skills for Security in order to allow centres more time to manage their transition to the replacement QCF qualification, which is currently available but not yet part of the apprenticeship framework. The components will remain so until April 2011 when the Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services and the Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (QCF) will be replaced in the Framework.
