Nominations now open for the Apprentice of the Year award
 Adult Learners' Week


Celebrate your inspirational apprentices!

Nominations are now open for the NIACE Adult Learners’ Week Awards 2011. Pearson Work Based Learning is delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural Apprentice of the Year award as part of the week’s celebrations.

The awards celebrate learning in all its forms, and the Apprentice of the Year award is a great opportunity to acknowledge and reward your apprentices for the contribution they make to your business.

We encourage you to get involved and nominate your outstanding apprentices or any other adult learners worthy of recognition. 

There are two main award categories:

  • Individuals (Apprentice of the Year falls under this category)
  • Inspiring Learning Projects, designed to recognise creativity and innovation of projects and organisations in providing learning opportunities for adults.  

Nominating somebody for Apprentice of the Year is simple. You can:

To qualify for Apprentice of the Year, the learner must be aged 18 or over on 28 January 2011 and part of the programme must have taken place between January 2010 and January 2011. 

Everyone nominated will receive a certificate of achievement. Winners will receive a learning voucher, valued between £200 and £1,000, and will be invited with their nominator to a ceremony during Adult Learners’ Week (14-20 May 2011).

Nominations close at 5pm on 28 January 2011.

Early bird nominations
Nominations submitted by 20 December 2010 will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £200-worth of learning vouchers to spend on learning resources for your organisation.
