The new BTEC Level 1 Award and Level 2 Award in Mathematical Applications have been accredited onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for first teaching from September 2010*. The final accredited specification can be accessed below.

* Edexcel was informed on 3 September 2010 that the Department for Education will not approve section 96 listing for BTEC in Mathematical Applications in either its pilot or new QCF format for any learners in England registering from 1 September 2010.

This decision does not affect centres in Wales where we have received confirmation from DCELLS that the new QCF qualification will be added to the Database of Approved Qualifications in Wales (www.daqw.org.uk) and so is eligible for funding and attracts school performance points in Wales, enabling delivery in centres from 1 September 2010.
