Nominate for a National BTEC Award
Pearson, Edexcel's parent company, is delighted to announce the launch of the first ever National BTEC Awards.

What are the National BTEC Awards?

We hear so many stories each year from teachers and tutors detailing the truly outstanding performance of their students and colleagues, and their school or college. This year, we wanted to recognise these outstanding individuals and centres through the first ever National BTEC Awards: recognising vocational excellence.

National BTEC Awards - winners announced!
How will you and your students benefit from entering?

There will be four top prizes for:

  • Outstanding BTEC Student of the Year
  • Outstanding BTEC Teacher/Tutor of the Year
  • Outstanding BTEC School/College of the Year
  • Outstanding contribution to the community from a BTEC Student

In addition, there will be prizes for the most outstanding students within their sector.

The prizes will consist of:

  • the opportunity of a work experience placement with a well-known employer in your sector
  • an iPad for the outstanding Student and Teacher/Tutor of the year
  • a host of exciting Pearson resources for the winning centre
  • a trophy and certificate
  • most of all, the pride in knowing that your vocational excellence has been recognised and celebrated!

There will be a fabulous awards ceremony in London to be held at the Royal Society of Arts on Thursday 7 July 2011, where the winners will be announced and awarded their prizes in front of an audience of teachers, parents, MPs, employers and other experts in vocational excellence.
Learn more about the winners and watch winners' videos.

Rod Bristow, President Pearson UK and a Special Guest will be speaking at the event to celebrate the winners and share their thoughts on the importance of vocational education.

Nominations for 2011 have closed, but you can find out more about the process here.
