The future of vocational education

What our centres say...

BTEC – shaping a new landscape

We know BTECs have helped hundreds of thousands of learners progress to further study and employment – and we want to keep raising the bar. So in autumn 2010 we started work on a development plan to ensure BTEC continues to help learners progress and flourish.

But we know that understanding how to improve BTEC means investing time – and enlisting your support.

This spring we’ve been sharing our development plans for the next generation of BTEC, and we’ve launched The Big Vocational Debate. We’d like to thank you for your incredibly supportive responses, and encourage you to keep engaging with us to secure the future of high quality vocational learning.

In the UK – and across the globe – the value of vocational learning for business and employers has never been more hotly debated, with the publication of the Wolf Report and the DfE’s White Paper 'The Importance of Teaching' in the UK. Your voice matters, so click here and tell us your view.

We look forward to working with you at the 150+ briefing events we're holding around the country this summer.

Thank you, as ever, for your support.
