GCSE full course cash-in: What you need to know ahead of results day.

June 2011: First GCSE full course cash-in 

If you’re expecting results for GCSE from 2009 modern foreign languages this year, June 2011 is the first exam session you can cash in your GCSE full course. Remember to request this for your students to obtain their overall GCSE grade by entering the cash-in code:

As this is the first year you will be cashing in your GCSE from 2009 MFL, remember that you need to meet the terminal assessment rule.

Terminal assessment rule

The terminal assessment rule requires that at least 40% of the assessment for the GCSE must be completed in the same exam session at the point when the final GCSE grade is requested and certificated - in this case, the June 2011 exam session.

For languages, this means that students need to sit at least two units in the June 2011 exam session where they are cashing-in for a grade.
