Principal Examiners – Design and Technology – Graphic Products


A superb opportunity is now available to become a senior examiner for Edexcel.  As an expert in your field, y
ou will be leading a team of examiners and potentially influencing the futures of thousands of students.

 
The GCE redevelopment is part of the biggest 14-19 policy overhaul this decade, which will impact on every school and college.  We are looking for individuals to form our senior team for our new specification in Design and Technology, Graphic Products.

 

As a Principal Examiner, your responsibilities will include:

  • setting GCE question papers and mark schemes according to the requirements of the new specification
  • managing a team of examiners during the examination period
  • leading meetings to ensure that examiners are fully briefed to mark the examination papers
  • monitoring examiners to ensure that they are marking to the appropriate standard
  • producing materials for teacher training events and leading these events 

You will be expected to attend several meetings in London throughout the year. Experience of teaching and/or examining GCE AS/A2 and knowledge of the principles underpinning the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority’s Code of Practice are essential.
