GCE A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics
International centres are asked to note that a 100% examination option is available for all Edexcel international centres wishing to take GCE A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics from 2008. This will take the form of alternative written examination papers in place of the optional coursework units (Units 3b and 6b) for the three specifications.
 
Please note that the optional coursework units 3a and 6a are only available to International Teaching Institutions (non-UK centres). Private Centres, including all centres entering candidates via the British Council, are not permitted to enter candidates for coursework units.
 
All externally assessed units will be available to all international centres in both the January and the June examination series.  Coursework units will not be available for new candidates in the January series but candidates may carry forward their results for coursework units from the June examination series to the January examination series on request. 
 
Training
Training events for the new specifications will be arranged for international centres during the academic year 2007/8. Information on the training courses will be posted on the international website as soon as the details have been confirmed.
