Existing Edexcel centres
All centres that currently deliver BTEC qualifications at Level 2 and above, and most centres that already work with Edexcel, can gain approval for BTEC WorkSkills through Edexcel Online (www.edexcelonline.org.uk).
Employers or training providers who only offer NVQs or BTEC at Level 1 or below should apply using a BTEC1 and BTEC2 form.
The WorkSkills suite of programmes is approved as a complete set of eight qualification titles. You can access the programme approval screen in the normal way: schools and FE centres should select 'Approvals – Schools and FE', followed by 'Qualification Approval' in the BTEC tab. Employers and training providers should select 'Approvals – Other Centres' and 'Higher Award' followed by 'Online Approval Requests'.
In the Qualification Level drop-down box there is an option for 'Multiple Level Qualification', and within the Sector choices 'WorkSkills' is shown. Choose this option and all the WorkSkills programmes will be listed. Enter the Programme Leader details, accept the declaration in the normal way when prompted, and all eight programmes will be approved. An approval letter for each programme will be sent to your centre’s online mailbox.

New centres
If you're new to Edexcel, you will first need to become an approved Edexcel centre before you can gain approval to offer WorkSkills. You can find guidance on gaining centre approval here.
Schools and colleges can submit applications for approval through Edexcel Online. Employers and training providers should contact the Work-based Learning team on 0844 576 0045 or by email at wbl@edexcel.com.
