Where a candidate is disadvantaged or affected by circumstances that are beyond his or her control, or is suffering from illness or a temporary condition at the time of written examinations, you can submit a request for special consideration.
You can now make a request for special consideration via our new Special Consideration Online Tool
In response to your feedback, we have invested in a new online system to make it easier to apply for special consideration. Other benefits of the new system include:
-
Faster processing of your requests
-
Improved visibility and consistency of the service provided
-
Extra security when submitting your request.
What’s new?
The first phase of the Special Consideration Online Tool allowed you to request special consideration for candidates online.
You can now submit disadvantaged candidate requests for paper-based exams only.
In addition, you can now track and view the status of your online special consideration applications.
What’s next?
We hope to make further improvements to the special consideration tool shortly, which will enable you to submit requests for absent candidates online. We will keep you informed of progress on this development.
How do I submit a request?
You can submit your requests via Edexcel Online by going to the ‘Special Considerations’ tab and then choosing the ‘Disadvantaged Request’ option.
You’ll need your Edexcel Online login details to submit your request. Visit Edexcel Online.
