If candidates do not collect certificates, it is the centre’s responsibility to retain them for a minimum of 12 months. 

After this time, the centre may then destroy them. However, candidates should be informed that a duplicate award fee will be due if a replacement is then required. Uncollected certificates should not be returned to Edexcel.
