The Missing and Incomplete Results (MIR) service must only be used for querying the following result reports:

• No result (shown as an ‘X’ on the results report)
• A result awarded on incomplete examination evidence (shown as a ‘#’ sign on the results report)
• Result pending (shown as a ‘Q’ on the results report)
• No result possible (shown as a ‘Y’ on the results report).

When we receive your Missing and Incomplete Results (MIR) enquiry, we will provide an explanation of any of the above without charge. An explanation consists of confirmation of the component(s) or unit(s) for which Edexcel had no mark, or a confirmation of the previous notification sent to the centre, giving the reason why we cannot award a result.
