You are here: Skip Navigation LinksEdexcel > I want to ...

To offer an Edexcel BTEC (Customised) qualification, you will need to obtain first centre approval and then qualification approval.

Centre approval

You should apply for centre approval through Edexcel Online. You can find out more about the online centre approvals process by referring to chapter 15, section 3 (p340 onwards) of the information manual. This chapter is available for download from this page if you prefer to view it online.

For more advice and guidance on the approval process, please contact your Regional Office.

If you are a non-government funded FE college seeking centre recognition from Edexcel, please complete the Expression of Interest form.

Qualification approval

For approval for a customised qualification, please refer to the Customised Handbook (below). To apply, you will need to complete form CQF1, then form CQF2 if you are accepted, along with the unit template. You can find the forms on this page.

For more advice and guidance on the approval process, please contact your Regional Office.
