We issue certificates to centres for distribution to candidates as soon as possible after the examination. Certificates will only be produced at qualification level.

Early certification

If you need your certificates earlier than the date specified, please write to Edexcel Operations, who will do their best to meet your request.

Please note that certificates will not be issued until after the deadline for late awards for GCE (including GCE in Applied subjects) and DiDA. This means that we will be unable to provide the certificates until at least two weeks after this deadline, at the earliest, for these qualifications.

Withholding certificates

Certificates are, and remain at all times, the property of Edexcel. Where a candidate has been entered and an award has been claimed, but the candidate has an outstanding financial obligation to your centre and you're considering withholding the candidate's certificate until settlement has been made, you must always seek our consent before withholding the certificate. We reserve the right not to permit you to withhold a certificate.

You can levy the additional charge of a late entry fee on a candidate who does not pay the initial entry fees when required to. In order to avoid problems, we advise you to ensure that you receive all necessary payments from candidates before entry.

Amendments

Where a certificate requires essential amendment, please return it to us as soon as possible. Late certificate amendments received after issue will incur the standard fees.

Where a certificate requires amendment following an enquiry about a result, please return it to us as soon as possible with a covering letter. In this instance, there's no charge for an amended certificate. Please submit candidate detail amendments before the issue of results.

Certifying Statement of Results to a third party

A Statement is frequently requested by official bodies in preference to documents held by candidates themselves. There is a fee for this service, covering up to five Statements of one examination type. If there are two examination types, there will be a higher fee. The application form is available below.
