Access arrangements for General Qualifications

If you are an examinations officer seeking information on access arrangements and special consideration, please visit the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) website.

This is where you can find information on regulations and guidance governing access arrangements and special consideration, as well as Transfer of Credit, Transferred Candidates and Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations. You'll also find the most up-to-date versions of the necessary forms on the JCQ site.

For information on access arrangements and special consideration for BTEC and Edexcel NVQ qualifications, please refer to the centre policies section of this website.

Access arrangements for DiDA qualifications

In connection with the DiDA form below, examinations officers should note that access arrangements for DiDA qualifications are delegated to examination centres (as with Entry Level Qualifications). This decision has been based on the principle that the centre is required to have determined the needs of the candidate within the normal classroom situation, and in light of those arrangements which have to be made as part of normal working practices. The arrangements granted to candidates must not interfere with the integrity of the assessment or give credit for skills which cannot be performed by the candidate.
