If your centre’s software package does not support the EDIFACT formats, you may now use the JCQ formats to register learners for the following qualifications:

• BTEC
• ESOL
• Entry Level Adult Literacy and Numeracy

JCQ basedata may be requested from Edexcel Online.

If you have any queries, click on the ‘help’ button when you are in the basedata screen. Basedata will be generated and emailed to you as a .zip file.

BTEC basedata is specific to each centre, so we cannot publish a generic basedata file on our website in the same way that we do for other qualifications.
