This programme educates a learner with the basic knowledge and skills needed for a successful and rewarding career in sales.
What does it cover?
The basics of sales, including modules such as the roles and responsibilities of a salesperson, features and benefits of products and services, the buying and selling cycle, post-sales activities, customer records, closing techniques and product pricing
Employability skills, including modules such as resume writing and interview skills
Specialised competencies to meet job requirements.
Workfirst Level 1 in Sales: 100 hours
The programme comprises four units with employability skills.
Unit 1 - Introduction to selling (15 hrs)
Unit 2 - Preparation for selling (25 hrs)
Unit 3 - The selling process (40 hrs)
Unit 4 - Post-sales activities (10 hrs)
Employability skills (10 hrs)
How is it assessed?
Each unit has learning outcomes which are mapped to assessment outcomes.

- Be able to prepare for sales activity
- Be able to close the sale.
