Results Doctor

An Edexcel expert gives advice on your GCE and GCSE results

School and sixth-form college students all over the country brace themselves in August each year for the imminent arrival of their exam results. Those who haven’t done well or think there’s something wrong with their results should first talk to their teachers, and remember that re-marking and resitting are available options if necessary. Conversely, students who’ve done better than expected can take advantage of the UCAS clearing process to find an alternative to their initial plans or first choice of university.

Listen to Edexcel's Tom Shooter and 18-year-old A level student, Harriet Mace in 2008.You can hear about Harriet’s experience of studying for her A levels and what her expectations and plans are, whilst Tom tells you the options available to you if you don’t get your desired exam results and alternative options if the academic route is undesirable to you.
