Each BTEC centre is asked to identify a member of staff as the Quality Nominee for BTEC provision. This person is the main point of contact for Edexcel information related to BTEC quality assurance.
We recommend that the Quality Nominee is someone with responsibility for the vocational curriculum, as they will be involved in monitoring and supporting BTEC staff in the centre.
The Quality Nominee will receive details about the appointment of external verifiers, external examiners and risk assessors. They will liaise with the appropriate programme managers and internal verifiers to ensure that external verifiers, external examiners and risk assessors are able to carry out their functions.
