  • Edexcel Online
  • Onscreen tests
  • Diplomas
  • ePEN - the life of a script
  • ResultsPlus
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

The day consisted of ten break-out sessions, networking opportunities and updates from Ziggy Liaquat, Greg Ferrari and Isabel Sutcliffe.

“There’s no substitute for meeting face to face”

Greg Ferrari, Customer Services Director (pictured right), reflected on some of the challenges currently facing Exams Officers, and outlined Edexcel's commitment to keep investing in customer service. Afterwards, Greg told us:

"The energy and commitment of everyone at the event was fantastic. It reminds us that providing learners with the results they deserve is not just a one-way service. It's a team effort between us and our customers, particularly our Exams Officers. This is what makes the personal side of what we do so important. There's no substitute for meeting face to face with the people who look to us for guidance and support.”

Edexcel Customer Relations Advisors had the chance to meet exams officers

“Wonderful Opportunity”

During the day, Edexcel Customer Relations Advisors had the chance to meet exams officers from their centre ranges. Charlie Chase (pictured, first from left) said:

“Today has been a wonderful opportunity to meet our customers and really get to understand their needs. We’ve learned a huge amount from the experience.”

Feedback following the event was extremely positive. Exams Officer, Emma Rosenberg, stated:

“It was an excellent conference, which I think helps us enforce our understanding that we are doing an important job in education. A convention, such as this, gives people more esteem, with which they can walk into work, holding their heads up high.”

Class of 2011

Preparations are already underway for a series of similar conferences next year. Judging by the response to this year’s event, these can’t come soon enough. Kathy Hall, an Examinations Manager in Birmingham stated:

“I would like to personally thank you for a most positive and enjoyable day. So many Examination Officers work in total isolation, so it is great to occasionally escape!! I was overwhelmed by the large amount of people that attended the conference and also at the long distances many had travelled! Looking forward to a follow on conference next year!  Planning needs to begin soon!”
