After listening to statistics teachers and Heads of Departments we will retain the popular features of our current specification as far as possible.

Assessment structure is as follows:

  • One controlled assessment task
  • One tiered external examination

Each unit is assessed by an external examination and will be offering the same range of faith papers as currently.

What is controlled assessment?

For the 2009 specification internal assessment will need to be carried out under controlled conditions. This change may alter the way that you deliver this part of the specification. We will, of course, provide you with assistance and guidance on how to manage controlled conditions within Statistics.

You can see the QCA controlled assessment regulations for Statistics here.
