Drama teachers and Heads of Departments have told us that they like our current specification, therefore we have kept our new specification as similar as possible to the current one.
Our structure has three units:
- Drama exploration - controlled assessment
- Exploring play texts - controlled assessment
- Drama performance - assessed by visiting examiner

What is controlled assessment?
For the 2009 specification internal assessment will need to be carried out under controlled conditions. This change may alter the way that you deliver this part of the specification. We will, of course, provide you with assistance and guidance on how to manage controlled conditions within Drama.
You can see the QCA controlled assessment regulations for Drama here.
