After listening to citizenship teachers and other interested people we have developed a four unit course to allow for both a full course and a short course.
The unit titles will be:
- Citizenship Today - external assessment
- Participating in Society - controlled assessment
- Citizenship in context - external assessment
- Citizenship Campaign - controlled assessment

What is controlled assessment?
For the 2009 specification internal assessment will need to be carried out under controlled conditions. This change may alter the way that you deliver this part of the specification. We will, of course, provide you with assistance and guidance on how to manage controlled conditions within citizenship.
