BTEC Firsts: Planning, Delivery and Assessment for your Vocational Area 

This full day event is designed for tutors or course leaders who will be teaching and co-ordinating BTEC Firsts from September 2009.

Delegates will:

  • Take an in-depth look at the current specification and units
  • Discuss approaches to planning the course
  • Look at writing assignments and assessing learner work
  • Consider how to make assignments relevant to the vocational area
  • Find out about quality assurance processes including internal verification, external verification
    and National Standards Sampling
  • Promote and share good practice in the teaching of the qualification.

Each event can count as 5 hours of CPD.
