You're probably aware of Ofqual's recent announcement of a full accreditation review and strengthening of GCSE Geography specifications across all exam boards. We're delighted to announce that our Geography A linear specification (2GA01) has now been fully accredited by Ofqual. Our draft accredited specification is now available for you to download on the GCSE Geography A page.
Key changes to the specification are as follows:
- Overall topic content relatively unchanged
- Structure of Unit 1 unchanged
- Structure of Units 2 and 3 changed to a compulsory ‘core’ of three of the existing topics in section A, but no change to the choice of Section B options
- Section B options have been tightened to improve equivalency
- Structure of Unit 4 largely unchanged.
