Engineering NVQs cover two areas, Performing Engineering Operations and Performing Manufacturing Operations, each with qualifications at levels 1 and 2. The structure of the NVQs allows a range of pathways to be agreed in line with the specific requirements of industrial sectors, including aerospace, transportation and general manufacturing.

• Performing Manufacturing Operations is an ideal vehicle for the development of an established skilled workforce, and can be used to accredit workers’ skills and knowledge.

Both awards develop technical and specialist skills and associated health and safety and communication skills.
