English Subject Advisor
Our Subject Advisor service supports all our English GCSE and A level qualifications.
We're delighted to announce that Clare Haviland recently gave birth to a baby boy, and is on maternity leave until April. While she's away, acting Subject Advisor Katy Lewis will lead the service and continue to help solve your queries about our English qualifications, as well as providing a means to share ideas, information and concerns.
The service also offers all teachers of English the opportunity to discuss and share English-related issues, such as what the 2010 GCSE specifications have to offer.
Katy will also be providing support via the English Community forum, and via the English subject page. To contact Katy, call the English Subject Advisor team on 0844 372 2188, or email Katy directly at EnglishSubjectAdvisor@edexcelexperts.co.uk. Find out more about the Subject Advisor service.

To make it easier for you to raise a query with us online, we have merged our Ask Edexcel and Ask the Expert services. There is now one easy-to-use web query form that will allow you to ask any question about the delivery or teaching of Edexcel qualifications. You’ll get a personal response, from one of our administrative or teaching experts, sent to the email address you provide.
Our free email service puts you in direct contact with a senior examiner who will help to answer any subject-specific questions concerning the assessment of English. The examiner will email you within two working days of receiving your question. Find out more about Ask the Expert here, or email gcseenglish@edexcelexperts.co.uk or gcseenglishliterature@edexcelexperts.co.uk.
We’ll also be doing lots of work to improve the quantity and quality of information in our FAQ database, so you’ll be able find answers to many questions you might have by searching before you submit the question to us.
