Pearson Language Tests are looking for a Test Development Director to join their team.

Pearson Language Tests (PLT) is developing a new international Academic English Test. Our test is being developed with item writers from many different places. PLT is a small business unit relying on a range of both internal Pearson and external vendors to provide solutions. PLT currently has a paper-based test, the London Test of English, which the test development team delivers in four annual sessions, working closely with Edexcel in the UK. The Test Development team has around 10 people who undertake research, quality assurance, psychometric analysis and manage the test development process and the third parties involved in delivering that.

PLT is working with many Pearson suppliers and external providers and managing these relationships is vital to success of our business.

You will be responsible for mangaging the test development team, projects and budgets. Supporting the Vice President Test Development in developing test strategy and implementing plans.
Although London based, international travel will be required.

To apply for this post, please email your CV with a covering letter and personal data sheet to HRservices@edexcel.org.uk, no later than 17:00 on Friday, 14 November. Please quote reference MK241PLT.

Your covering letter should outline (i) why you are interested in the role (ii) how you meet the criteria specified in the job advert. If there are any criteria listed on the person specification which you do not meet, please also include in your covering letter how you think this could be addressed (e.g. through training, doing extra reading / research, etc.).
